Modal Silk is a luxurious silky fabric that is considered a new natural fibre. It was first developed in 1951 in Japan and has improved over time.Modal Silk is made from wood pulp cellulose derived from the Beech Tree which is "Regenerated cellulose fiber. It is more sustainable than cotton as it uses less water in processing.Modal Silk is biodegradable. What We love about Modal Silk Modal Silk has the luxurious feel of silk and yet is breathable like cotton. Modal Silk is flowy and drapes well. It can be worn for a meeting or for a special event. Why is it more expensive? The beachwood tree plan cellulose takes longer to process and it is a labour of love. Care must be taken to look after the product while washing it. The Samasta Modal Collection is inspired by the Samasta Rani, It is a collection of cowl tops, dresses and coord sets. Our favourites in the Modal Silk Collection are the solid dresses, geometric and abstract ajrakh prints using natural dyes. Shop the Samasta Modal Silk Collection!
